Watch out Banner Scam

This scammer claims he wants to place advertising on my site.

Thanks for reply to our proposal!
I represent Larko Agency. At the moment we are preparing an advertising campaign for Lacoste Company (it is a French company producing clothes, footwear, perfumery etc.) We already have designed banners for the campaign, they are the following sizes: 160Ã--600, 240Ã--400, 300Ã--250, 336Ã--280, 468Ã--60, 728Ã--90.
What can be your price for one banner (banner should appear at ALL pages of your site) of abovementioned sizes (please specify the place for the banner – top, bottom, left, right)? Please mention a normal link for banner, without javascript code and set prices in US dollars per month.

To pass to the banner control system follow the link http://webmaster.larkoagency.com
 To enter use the following data:

You should install and activate the plugin in order to display advertisement. Before making payment, advertiser must approve location of the banner. The banner will be shown on your site when you add special code to your web- address (for example: Dutchdomainer). It means, that visitors will see the banner only if it is approved and payment made.

    • My company was approached by the same group of people inviting us to consider placing their ads on some of our managed websites.

      But actually, I think they are trying to place a Wordpress plugin on your site to take control of it.

  • NOBODY will have you install a non standard plugin to display their ads. It is dumb and risky. After all, if YOU have to do it, everyone ELSE will also. I think real radio, flash, and java are ENOUGH!!!!!

  • Just had this email asking to display banner ads on one of my sites from ELIOTT ARNAUD.
    I decided to google him and its all a scam. Thanks for the heads up hocuspocus.

  • I had the same email yesterday and sniffed it out immediately. To test him, I threw a price at him for $1000 per month and he agreed telling to go ahead, install the plugin and he'll make payment.

    The clincher here was that he never asked ONCE about how many UV the site gets, what the click-through rate is or are anything else.

    Not only that, the domain name he mentions expired yesterday so it's currently displaying a GoDaddy park page.
