When is the best day and time to launch a WSO?

I have been a member of the Warrior Forum since 2007. I have been carefully preparing my first Warrior Special Offer and am wondering if there is a certain day and time that are best for launching a WSO.

Things to consider I guess are:

1) when the most members are on the forum
2) when the least amount of wso's are being launched
3) purchase behavior, like do people buy more on the weekends? late at night?

If you've had experience launching WSO's and have any insight that you'd be willing to share, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Jarrod

I read once in a book about WSO that Tuesdays & Wednesdays (afternoons) are the best times to launch wso but it all depends on your product and the catchy headline, you are going to use to trigger fellow warriors to respond to your offer and actually buy your WSO. Also another important thing to consider is your pricing (ideal if you price it between $5.95 to $17.95) if you start low and gradually rise your price to create that urge of scarcity technique, it will help too. You can use WSO Pro to implement this method.

Your best bet is to go to the wso forum every day and take notes.
I don't think you want to just rely on replies you'd get to that question.

You're absolutely right. I'll be checking the traffic on the site as well. I'm glad I posted though as a handful of people have given me great advice.

      Amy,

Your answer of Tuesday afternoon is inline with what John is saying. I'm hoping the headline I've selected will be catchy enough. I guess if Tuesday comes and I see the number of people on the forum is high, I'll push the "button".

I wouldnt bet the farm on it but try 2:23 PM on a tuesday.

If your product is only $2.00 then wednesdays are better... because... I'm psychic and I know that.

Honestly its more about what you do PRIOR to launching than anything. "Pre Launch" is what makes the difference. Create awareness before you launch and some anticipation among your target pool of prospects.

Launching without that is just counting on the luck of the draw on ANY day...

You have to talk about your subject matter and create excitement about it, among the people you want to market to...then when you launch your wso people will be excited about the subject... BUT dont point to your sig, thats not only against the rules but "Bad Forum" altogether. Never say "Look at me"... Just put out great content and the awareness will happen on its own.

Create excitement by truly offering valuable knowledge. You could put out 25 posts full of great enlightenment that has value on its own within the next 4 days, and that would help you alot with your wso... then make a list when you get it launched... so next time a launch can be "Just emailing your list".

Theres my two cents and I PROMISE it will pay you hundreds if not thousands of dollars if you invest it in what Im saying.

      John,

That's certainly a lot more than 2 cents, and I'm so grateful for it. Having built websites for years and helping well known Internet Marketers squeeze every last drop of conversion out of their funnels, I can certainly provide valuable content and enlightenment to others on the subject. My WSO will be based on software/code that increases site conversion so your advice is absolutely perfect.

It seems like having your WSO in your sig is key, and honestly I'm looking at my list of To-Do's for launching the offer and I hadn't included that simple but influential task. Thank you for the reminder!

I asked a veteran WSO launcher this question and she said she just does it when she is ready. She didn't seem to think day and time were important to her wso.

Good to know, because I don't like to be on a timeclock.

I launched one today (my first) on a friday at 12 noon, PST. Now, 6 hours later, it's still on the front page, which is nice. I had a flurry of sales in the first 3 hours and a trickle after, but haven't seen one in about an hour. ... scratch that, just got a notification.

I may bump it early next week, early in the day, and see how that goes if I'm able.

      Lisa,

I'm so glad to hear how well your first WSO is going. That's fabulous! I share your feelings as I've got one more video to produce and as soon as I'm done with it, I want to be able to launch. Thank you for sharing your current experience with me.

The best time is when potential customers will be able to view it.

Funny thing about a question like this one -- if the correct answer were to be made public - it would very soon be the wrong answer.

I'd listen to John about this one.

You have no idea how right you are Sal, or maybe you would. I taught a group of about 50 offliners how to launch WSO's lol.... and now look at the offline section. The right answer turned into a frenzy and now you have to wade through it to find a genuine authentic post with no agenda. Sometimes even the right answers can be abused and overused till they lose impact.

There are two answers to this question.

        1. It's what you do BEFORE you launch your WSO that's most important, such
as emailing your list. For that matter, coming up with a WSO that people will
actually WANT to buy is at the top of the list of things to do.

        2. Having said that, there are simply times when the forum is more busy than
others. Like it or not, the majority of the make money online crowd comes from
the east coast of the United States. What does that mean?

Well, it means that, if you're like most people, you're probably asleep between
11 PM and 6 AM. That means there are fewer people here during those hours,
regardless of what day of the week it us.

Then there is the work factor. Most people who work an office job only check
their emails first thing in the morning, or go to the forum first thing in the
morning and then don't check again until they come home.

I could keep going with online viewing patterns (yes, these are easily verified)
but I think you get the point.

Launching a WSO at 2 AM on a Wednesday is probably not the optimal time.
You might get some Great Britain early risers and some other folks outside
of the US, but you're not going to attract the majority of the crowd.

Law of averages simply dictates that you want to launch your WSO sometime
between 8 AM and 9 AM for whatever day you want to run it...expect on
weekends because at that time, viewing habits change.

Same with major holidays like Christmas. A lot of people will be out of the
house and NOT on their PC.

Having said all that, I get sales from my WSOs at all crazy hours.

        Why?

Because of all the work I put in BEFORE actually launching the WSO.

That includes product creating itself and preselling.

        Use a little common sense.

When are most people going to be sleeping? When will they be at work?
When will they be on the road?

Personally, I launch WSOs on either Tuesday or Thursday morning 8 AM EST.

But your mileage may vary. Only thing you can do is test, track and see
        what works best for you.

Because if you're looking for a definitive time for launching a WSO that is
going to give you optimal results, you're buying the dream.

        Damn...that's another thread.

There. It has been said by the Master. It was a conversation I was reading between Steve W. and Caliban, that caused me to release my first WSO, and they were absolutely spot on about every word. Not that Steve's word needs validation but "look up" (post above) and thats the most solid advice you will get. The very finest.

I was also told tuesday is the best day for web traffic - however IM'ers are always up late and the WF has its own time for events - im launching mine on saturday mid day uk time for weekend traffic --
the truth is ultimately if you have a good product then its going to sell more
