  • Yeah - I heard about those kind of things on the History Channel...!
    It's a self contained reading apparatus -
    they called them "books"...

  • There are still people that prefer to read book / magazine style. I would say there is probably less strain or your eyes also compared to looking at a computer.
For me personally, either format is ok.
  • Oh ya there are many people out there that still like to read off paper and not the screen. The glare and the light hurts peoples eyes. For me it doesn't matter. I read it off the screen if I'm at the computer and read a book if I'm not at a computer.
  • I personally like to read off paper as opposed to off the screen, but I spend many hours at the computer, so it is a break for me to read it in a different format. This is one reason I've not given in to the Kindle craze just yet.
  • I prefer reading printed-out materials as well, it feels more like, you know, reading. Besides, I really can't afford to sit in front of a computer screen for a very long time due to radiation concerns and concerns about my eyesight.
  • Great Job! I prefer reading books or print outs rather than on computer screen.
  • Well..even I sometimes wanted to read a printed hard copy than reading it through my monitor..Believe it or not, i easily understand well on it than on my screen

A friend asked me if I could print a manual he had downloaded in pdf format. He explained that he would like to read something printed out in color rather than on his computer screen. My friend knew I had high quality, full color printing equipment to print what he needed. After printing the manual I decided to drill and insert it into a binder. My friend was more than impressed and offered me $20.00 for my efforts. I started to wonder if this was an isolated occurrence or if there might be others that preferred to read a hand held manual instead of squinting at a computer monitor through the entire thing.
