The BBC has an interesting article and short video at:

The video was a bit disappointing, but the article itself relates to some previous, ongoing discussions in this forum, so I thought I'd share this with anyone who might be interested in this topic.

  • Actually that was a pretty interesting article.

    I didn't realize someone had gone down into the earth 7and 1/2 miles (roughly) (12 KM).

    Which is roughly 1 mile deeper than the (known) deepest part of the ocean (Mariana Trench) off the Philippines.





    The BBC is quickly becoming one of my favorite news sources.

  • Pretty cool article. I've always been fascinated by the Earth's core, very interesting topic. It must have taken some pretty powerful machinery to dig that far down, that's incredible.
