Why does a new $10 toaster come with an 8 page book of instructions which includes a picture of how to plug it in? How could anybody do that wrong?

      That's part of it, lawsuits. There are also some very stupid people around. If you haven't ran into a few in your life consider yourself lucky.

      And, some people do things without thinking. I remember reading that former Atlanta Braves pitcher John Smoltz burning himself once when he tried to iron a shirt ... while he was wearing it!
