Hmm. My favorite vacation location?

I'd have to say Arizona - I traveled to Tucson a few times, back in my Network Marketing days, and I love the desert! The heat doesn't bother me (but all of those awful air-conditioners did!)

I've been to Las Vegas once and I thoroughly enjoyed that experience, too. And guess what? I actually spent less on gambling than I budgeted for!

I have been to Niagara Falls here in Ontario, Canada so many times that I never get bored of it. I just love the falls and being there.

When we were married, many moons ago, my wife and I honeymooned in the mountains of Alberta. We wanted to do the tent-camping thing one night, so as we were driving down the highway we said, "Let's find a campground to stay at."

You may not believe this, but the next campground we came upon was called "Honeymoon Campground"! True story! (We've got photos.)

Which is about young adults having fun in the orange county in california, I really want to go there now, which is definitely my dream place to be. I mean the beach, women and everything thats there, it would be an awesome place to settle down.

I love it in Thailand.(The real Thailand, not the tourist hangouts).
I have been to beaches where I would be the only farang. Swimming in rivers etc... I went caving and to the mountains and avoided any of the tourist traps. I rented an apartment in Bangkok and stayed for about a year.(Ekamai). Only went to a bar once and never saw Patpong LOL. There is so much to see and do in Thailand even if you never go where the tourists are or see a pub.

I would have to agree with you about Hawaii! I just returned from my vacation in Hawaii yesterday and it is one of the most beautiful places i have visited! Amazing beaches and mountains scenery. If you ever go make sure to see black sand beach on the road to Hana.

Great thread! Been looking at a lot of destinations and I feel a bit guilty because I worked for Carnival Cruise Lines, did an 8 month stint on board Cunard QEII, on the World Cruise 2000/01. Also the Carnival Destiny and Holland America line. I've been to over 150 countries and feel so blessed to not only have seen so many places but get paid to do so. I'd still be doing that for sure if I didn't have kids! (ssssh, don't tell 'em, pleaaaase!)

My favourite destination? Its got to be Ibiza! Its the dogs Balerics!

Cyprus is great too. The Med in general is very good.

Going to enjoy a spot of reminiscing now!

Las Vegas is a favorite vacation destination for me. I would also like to visit Miami and New York City as well!

Now that my little nephew is getting bigger I have a feeling that Disneyland is in my future and honestly I don't care how much it costs... seeing his face when he see's a life size Buzz Lightyear is something you just can't put a price tag on.

Another personal favorite of mine is the Canyonlands in Utah. Me and my buddies usually camp in the outskirts (outside the actual park) and there is nothing like climbing up a rock and watching the sunset surrounded by nothing but rocks. It's a beautiful place and if you've never been I encourage YOU to see this place before you die.

Earlier, I talked about dessert hot spots and tropical isles being my favourite vacation locations. Additionally, I always enjoy the opportunity to spend time near the ocean (during sunny, calm weather, of course!)

I lived near the ocean for about two years, many moons ago, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

This reminds about my cousins husband. In 1988 I visited my Aunt in Brantford, Ont. We were hitting the road to drive down to Daytona, FL, with my cousin and her then boyfriend. He had only ever seen Lakes Ontario, Erie and Huron. Once we got to the Florida coast he got out and just stood for about 2 hours gazing at the ocean. I was only 12 at the time and thought "Wow, fancy never seeing the ocean before" because here in Northern Ireland we are never far from the sea. I can only imagine what it must feel like for someone living slap bang in the middle of Canada or the U.S. Oh, and a Trinidadian I worked with had never seen snow before, but got his fill when we were docked in Manhattan back in early January 2001. A real sight to behold!

If you can do it just once in your life, I would go on a coach tour of continental Europe. You really do get fairy tale castles dotted all over the place as well as breathtaking scenery. It is also one of the greatest educational experience that one can have.

Otherwise, the striking place I have been to is Santorini in Greece. It is the remnants of a massive ancient volcanic eruption. You can go there as part of a cruise of the Greek Islands or by air.

Right now my favorite is Koh Samui in Thailand, but I am unlikely to go back there soon as I have been there many times.

I was born and raised on the Canadian (Alberta) prairies and never saw the ocean (Pacific) until I was a teenager. In my early 20s, an employer moved me to the Atlantic coast where I so loved the ocean for two years before heading back home to the prairies.

However, I've always had close access to water. A river ran through the city where I was born and raised, plus we had plenty of lakes all around.

After my spouse and I started raising our own family, we moved away from the big city to a small northern town ... with a river running through it and plenty of lakes all around!

But an ocean view is so awesome! If I wasn't tied to my town, thanks to kids and grandkids, I would seriously consider moving to one of Canada's coastlines.

Italy. I was lucky to have the opportunity to travel to Italy several years ago and it was an incredible experience. And the food and wine, ohhhhh.

Although, since my boy is into medieval everything, a tour of some castles in Ireland would be something neither one of us would ever forget. And if we were in Ireland, I wouldn't mind playing a round or six on some of the beautiful golf courses.

I'm Puerto Rican but have spent most of my life living in the United States. I love, love, love vacationing in PR.

Las Vegas has to be the best destination that our family has found. There is something there for everyone and you will NOT sleep when you are there.

I do not know if it is the excitement or if they pump oxygen into the rooms or what.

My favorite vacation place is the Philippines! it is beautiful, there are many places and beaches and mountains to visit, the Filipinos are hospitable and it is just amazing. Everybody love Boracay and Palawan. Best of the best.

I love New Orleans. You can ride the trolley all around touwn and do your own self guided tour. The best part is the food. Not just the places that get featured on all the shows. My wife and I found this awesome little hole in the wall cafe on a side street that had incredible cajun style food.

You can also go to Jackson square and listen to the street bands. If you really like Jazz you should go in April when they do the Jazz Festival.

Lots to do and see if you go there!
