Hey Guys.

I just received over 2000 emails in the last 30 minutes(and its still on!) on my gmail account. This account being my primary email address, I cannot shut it down. Any suggestions??? Please help me!

Let us know how it goes. I'm curious if it's from someplace you went or signed up for that might have given it or they got it from them or if it's completely random. Maybe some website you went to. Keep us posted. Make sure you run a virus scan over the next few days. It might be a virus or something that hasn't been discovered yet but will within the next week.

  thanks for that. but it wont work. the sender is not the same. the x-mailer is. no idea how to set the x-mailer filter to send all the emails from chilkat to spam.

  Do you have a Wordpress blog with your g-mail account as the admin e-mail? It may have been hacked.

  You may want to rethink that strategy. If an e-mail address is on the 'net eventually a little scraper-bot is going to find it.

It does not necessarily mean your websites have been hacked, they could have gotten your email address from anywhere.

You could also talk to the gmail team and get their advice!

The spam emails have stopped for now after 149,470 emails!!

I had contacted Google, but still haven't heard back from them.

Consider that the service of Gmail is really new compared against e-mail hosting as hotmail or Yahoo.

But i found unbeliveable that you are constantly recieving e-mails to 149k and Gmail doesn't see it!!

They have a good spam filter and is a mistery how it works... for example i have 2 gmail accounts and 1 friend in common, he sent a mail for both accounts, one detected it as spam and the another one didn't.

I'd like to know more about your problem and if you get any solution, everytime i needed some of Google they've answered quiclky to my needs.

I just looked up the ip address and it came from a company called RIPE look here to report the spammer https://www.ripe.net/lir-services/nc...ct-information

There are two places I found Katrina both Russian one a mail bride thing and one a blog
I can't read as its in Russia.
