New Dad seeks work at home tips

Hi Warriors,

I am very proud to announce that I became a dad for the first time 2 weeks ago. My son is called Arran and he's a wee handful so far.

I would be interested in any tips from my fellow warriors about working at home with a new baby, be it how to manage time, keep him quiet, that kind of thing.

This is all new to me and any tips would be great.

    My suggestion is to keep a journal of everything that is going on with your son. These are very precious moments.

    My son is now 17 months old and I'm now keeping journal, but I wish I'd kept more of a journal in the earlier months.

    As for work at home with a baby, that is a tough one. Right now, I suggest sleep when he sleeps.

    • Thanks, good suggestion. Somehow he seems to know that I am trying to sleep and that's when he wakes up wanting fed. He's sleeping on my left arm now as I type with my right. Very awkward

      Good idea about the journal. I'll get on that one.
