Why do you spend so much time in front of that &%$ computer?!

This isn't exactly off-topic, but I don't know where else to put it.

How do you deal with family and friends that don't understand what you are working on in regard to building an internet or offline marketing business, and complain about how much time you spend in front of the computer?

My spouse and family are patient and understanding, since in addition to being an Internet Marketer I am also a home-based freelance writer.

Still, there are times when they do ask why I must spend so much time here. But, my spouse is used to it. She knows that when I say "I just have one more thing to finish," that could mean 20 minutes, an hour, maybe two hours... lol.

I do try to understand their point of view on the matter, so in a way, I use their perspective as a way to maintain some checks and balances on myself... because ... maybe there ARE some times when I spend too much time on the computer and don't really have to!

  I remember reading that super affiliate Ewen Chia worked on his IM business at night from 11pm to 3am for 5 years while working a full-time job!
  
  I bet his family was wondering why he was spending so much time in front of the computer too.
  
  I think any entrepreneur has to be so passionate about what they do, that they are willing to sacrifice the time and energy to reach their goals.
  
  But their loved ones may not "see the vision" like they do.
