When do posts get deleted?

Hi,

I replied to a thread in the Product Review forum and came back to the thread later and found my post was gone. Thought that perhaps it was a mistake on my part and replied again. Now I checked and the post is gone again! I did make some negative remark about the product in question but is that a reason for the post to get deleted.

How do I find out why it was deleted?

Chances are it was deleted because you violated one of the forum rules. Have you read them? That will often tell you what you did wrong. If your negative comment was restricted to the product itself, that's usually OK as long as it's based in fact and not over the top. If you took it to a personal level, that's a no-no. I didn't see your post so I can't really guess beyond that.

Most of the time you won't know why a post or thread is deleted, so just move on. It happens to all of us sooner or later ... even guys with cute puppies in their avatar.

Be sure you read the rules for the forum, too. Starting threads about why your post or thread was deleted generally isn't a good idea.

    Hope that helps.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

I didn't see your deleted post... but in the review section if you actually purchased the product you're reviewing, and you're sticking to why you didn't like the product in a professional manner, and you're not getting personal (e.g. John Doe is a scammer) your post should be fine.

Re-posting deleted posts could get your account here deleted as well so just move on. We've all had posts deleted at one time or another.

There are also unwritten rules which you'll learn by just contributing to the forum.

It was nothing personal. I was complaining about the way the product was marketed and had noted that I had purchased the product too.

Anyway, I guess I will move on as suggested.

        Thanks.

I'd say that is your answer.

There must be some reason behind it, Either you are not following the t & c of that forum or may be your answer is offbeat.

    Here is some suggestion:
    1. Check your spelling Mistakes.
    2. Read the T & C Properly.
    3. Answer appropriate the question.
    4. Do not Create extra links in your signature.
