Why Was My Signature Removed?

I'm a regular participant here on warriorforums, and today I realized my signature was removed. I have never been spamming or anything, so what's the deal with that?

There are hundreds of members here who say nothing but "thanks" "good info" "this is good advice" and they have signatures, why is suddenly my signature privileges removed?

What did you have in your sig?

For example did you have an affiliate link in your sig?

Did you read the Official Warrior Forum Rules about sigs?

Were you self-promoting with coy instructions like 'just click my sig' as an answer to multiple posts?

The one I love is 'the color can be any color as long as it is black'.

      Just thiMk.

These daze mods are removing the ability to have a signature as payback for being oblivious to the Warrior Forum Signature Files Rules, instead of as in the past just removing the offensive link.

It's a ban on your signature. Not sure if these are temporary or permanent banishment.

You might cop a plea to Thomas on the Forum Helpdesk - and not with an attitude of entitlement or defensive argument - just a plea to be reinstated with an apology for what you believe you may have done.

I was not breaking any rules. They were not affiliate links but simply links to my own e-commerce website. They were as "spammy" as bravo75's signature, if you want to call it that. There was no "click my link" or anything like that, just links to my own website.

So I'm really not sure why I was singled out.

If there isn't a clear breach of a "rule" (like an affiliate-link, or whatever), it can often be because it was felt you were posting in a way designed to draw attention to your own sig-file, so the content of your recent posts might be relevant, here: it can be the combination.

(We see that sort of thing sometimes, for example with people who are selling ".gov backlinks" and unwisely choose to make a few posts about "the SEO value of .gov backlinks", which really boils down to "advertising".)

Also, in some cases it's "trial by Warrior" because the Moderators are pretty busy and quite often will notice something like that only because members have noticed it and "reported" what they consider a "spammy post, in conjunction with the sig-file". So sometimes there's even something approaching a "democratic" element to it, though your signature would only have been turned off by a Moderator.

I understand that, but I wasn't doing that.

For the record my signature was:

Replica Watches | Swiss Replica Watches

I obviously don't post in the forums with anything pertaining to replica watches, and I'm certainly not advertising them. Sure, you may say, "but that signature isn't related to SEO." Well, neither are the vast majority of users' ones.

Maybe because replica watches are seen by the mods as fake.

          Like pirated.

So its illegal. Or they just dont want you to be promoting it.

All we can do is guess. Perhaps all you where doing was sig pimping vs. contributing. Again, I'm just guessing since I haven't seen any of your posts.

If I have links in my sig for my site about a specific niche and suddenly I'm posting just in threads in that niche/subject might lead to having your sig removed.

You weren't banned so your sig should return so just keep contributing to the community.
