Where is this stuff coming from

I use ZdStatistics plugin for my wordpress blog stats. It is set to show referrers and keywords.

I seem to be getting a lot of hits from websites I have never heard of. This isn't the search engines so I have no idea why they show up in my stats. No keywords are associated with them.

This is a site that has started showing up that I have never heard of nor been to. *pu.gg/* . I can't see the point of this site and have no idea how it found my blogs. I get all kinds of weird sites that find my blogs with no search involved that I can tell.

This is a sample of some of the sites that are finding my blogs.

How do these sites find my wordpress blogs? Is there any way to block them or should I just ignore it?

  • Has anyone seen this sort of thing? Where does it come from? pu.gg is the most prevalent and seems to show up in all of my blog stats. There seems to be no point to the site except that it seems to encourage people to steal content and upload it as their own.
