any tips on where to look for gold in a river?

    I have several articles up on my Gazette that give tips to beginning panners - Go to rockhoundstation1.com and look for Gazette at the right side of the atom-like menu (I think it's the right side). You'll find about 3 articles on beginning prospecting.

    And to answer the immediate question - yes and no. It mostly concentrates in areas that a swift current is slowed down so the gold, which is heavy, drops right there.
