Hi guys! Just want to know your thoughts about wisdom and knowledge.

What's the best for you? Wisdom or knowledge?

  • Knowledge can be destructive without the wisdom to use it properly - and wisdom can't be attained without knowledge.

Seek knowledge - pray for the wisdom to use it well.

    • This is exactly why I've never bothered to acquire either.

    • I think it depends on the context of "knowledge".

If by knowledge you mean simple "book" knowledge, as in memorizing facts and figures, then wisdom wins hands-down.

However, wisdom can be gained through personal experience and observation, which, in turn gives you knowledge beyond facts and figures.
In which case, the 2 go hand-in-hand.

I think, to a certain degree, wisdom is a character trait that leads people to observe and learn.

  • Let me suggest that you ask a better question. In the buffet of life, a combination of wisdom, knowledge, AND ACTION will serve you well.

    • Since this is an off-topic section, I think it's not a bad thing to ask whatever I want.

However, if anybody will back up your suggestion, then that's the time that I will ask the what you said "better question"

  • 50% wisdom & 50% knowledge
  • both are essential but everyone's definition of wisdom and knowledge may be different and certainly everyone uses them differently.
  • Wisdom is the winner for me.

  • I think wisdom comes from experiance, or age. Knowledge grows from what your interested in.
The longer your interested in a subject, the wiser you become in using that knowledge.
  • 99% knowledge 1% wisdom
  • Very well said icombs
  • Knowledge is realizing that the street is one-way, wisdom is looking both
    directions anyway before crossing it.

  • Read the story of king Solomon and you will have an idea of what wisdom really is.
  • Wisdom or knowledge? That's a little like asking which is more important, your leg or your arm. Wisdom and knowledge go hand-in-hand. One without the other leaves a person noetically challenged.

  • Let's put this right here: Both are important. Just like a bird's wing. It's like you're asking what's important? The left or right wing?

    - Get my point?
  • Wisdom for me. Anyone can get Knowledge just by opening up a couple of books. But wisdom comes from age and tough things you go threw in life. What dont kill you will make you stronger.
