Update on Dani Schaeffer's Heart Surgery
My friend Danielle Schaeffer is in the hospital right now, and is about to have heart surgery. She's had trouble for a couple of years, and they thought it was under control, but this past Monday she started having chest pains.
She had caught the flu the last week and had been feeling run down and tired, and when she starting have chest pains, she thought it was just chest congestion from the flu. But her husband Shane checked on her and realized she was tachadardic and he called 911.
She ended up being admitted to the hospital, and has to have surgery to correct the issue. And as of this morning, they were worried that pneumonia had settled in... Luckily it hasnt and she is going to be ok.
The bad news is that she's going to be recovering several months following the surgery. Shane has been out of work for a year so Dani's been the sole
income of their home.
They had already fallen behind on bills and were both working hard at getting all their online assets sold off right before Dani caught that flu and wound up in the hospital.
Now Shane is trying to take care of the kids, and Dani, while facing the idea that they could lose their home next month with Dani not being able to work.
Shane has family in out of state they can stay with once she is out of the hospital, who have some pull to help Shane get a job, and can help take care of the kids while she recovers, but they need to raise some cash for
keeping the house going where they are right now and for moving expenses.
I talked to her this morning and she sounds good, but I think she is just trying to stay positive. I am going to take over managing her sites for her while she's out of commission.
Today I was thinking I could possibly do the sale she was working on myself, for her, to get up some quick funds to help Shane out a bit with all he's got on his shoulders right now. But even more than that, I wanted to ask if anyone would be interested in joining the sale.
Dani has given a lot to our little community and she needs help right now, I've seen you all do amazing things to help before and I'm hoping this time you can do it again. It will make a huge difference to Dani, Shane and the boys.
