Host The Name down?

Hi,

Host The Name seems to be down. Unless I missed a maintenance shutdown notice?

Can anybody who has hosting there tell me if you know anything about this?

I mean, even their own site is nowhere to be found...

    Our website is not down, and it was not down when you asked either.

    You can verify if our website is down, or if it's just you getting blocked our of the site by a firewall by surfing the site through a proxy like this:

    If it shows up in hidemyass.com and not for you, come in to our live chat immediately and get yourself unblocked.

    So if you cant get to the site, how in the world are you gonna get to the live chat?

    I very disappointed with this service! It's down again and again, every time the same. I remember when some guy tell us about this in other thread but I don't believe him and want to try with this cheap price.
    Now I very disappointed. Never use this service again. Ever!

    HostTheName's support team has been very helpful to me so far. However, I'm experiencing a loooooong page load time on a daily basis since quite some time now. Hopefully they'll come up with a solution soon.

      Hmm, well I just switched host away from them. On their main WSO sales thread I posted about an instance where all the files in my cpanel had disappeared.

      Smaller instances when singular domains have gone down happened numerous times prior to that. About 95% of that was without anything happening on my part. I didn't even touch cpanel or my sites. The sites just went down, or some file went randomly missing. Not good stuff to sustain a business.

      They started out strong then it went into the abyss once sites started going down and overall downtime increased. It's a pretty sad feeling if the only reason I am happy with my new host is the fact that my sites will continually be up without my continued worry and constant check of support tickets. I've learned my lesson overall. For hosting you get what you pay for.
