Unexpected Effect From Social Media Sites

I've recently noticed an unexpected effect from social media sites and I wondered if anyone else has experienced this. I have actually met some really cool people and made some new friends. Who would have thought that? Several are from here in the WF and a few from other venues on the net. A lady born where I was has now introduced me to her adult children and all the Grandchildren. I've been adopted into the whole clan. I'm also into the second tier. Friend from here introduced me to a friend of hers who turns out to be one of the smartest people I've ever met online. Not only that, she lives about five miles from where I used to live. We're sure we have common acquaintances. No telling how far this is gonna go. Anybody else have a story?

    I met a guy who travels a lot and is the discoverer of the Hallettestoneion Seazoria Dragon - fossils of a very large ancient creature that lived during, I believe the Cenozoic era. Very interesting man. We might get together this spring either so I can view the fossil site or maybe go on a NW route trip. What a kewl find for me. And of course some of the Warriors and a few of my website members are there, too.

    I've also reconnected with some very good pals from High School again and it's kinda good to have someone to talk to that shares history with me again.

    Yeah - FB has its drawbacks, but I am enjoying being there anyway.
