I'm Thinking Too Much
My mind has been going in weird directions lately, but not in ways that will make me money. For example, I noticed striking similarities between the musicals "The Sound of Music" and the "Music Man" (this is especially odd, considering that I was never fan of musicals):
-- In the Music Man a travelling salesman sweeps into town and transforms people's lives with music.
--In The Sound of Music, a nun arrives to work as a governess for the children of a wealthy single man, then transforms the children's lives with music.
Then occurred to me that The Sound of Music is variation of the Jane Eyre story, both featuring a nun who becomes a governess for a wealthy single father's children, falls in love with the father, leaves the family to return to the nunnery, than finally leaves the nunnery to marry the wealthy man.
