This movie takes the terms "Time is money,""Don't waste my time," and "My time is valuable," to all new levels. I loved it. Whoever thought this up was a genius despite it being such a simple concept. For those of you that don't know anything about it, it has Justin Timberlake, Cilian Murphy from 28 Days Later, Olivia Wilde from Cowboys and Aliens, and Amanda Seyfried from Red Riding Hood about a society where everyone ages to 25 and never gets a day older but with a twist. At 25, you get one years worth of time and not only is the time your actual life, but it's your currency for everything and what you get paid in as well. And did I mention that when your time runs out, you die. The rich have infinite time or massive amounts, think hundreds and thousands of years, and the poor have days. Sound familiar, well the similarities don't stop there. The rich control the economy and the 'time' and keep it, to make sure the "economy" is running smoothly. I recommend it to everyone. It mirrors our own economic society to a 'T', but with time instead of money.

No, but I'm really looking forward to it.

Time really is your most valuable asset because you can't earn more of it.

Definitely. Don't be discouraged by J. Tim. He's been good in everything I've seen him in and the premise is excellent. Good action, not Die Hard, but good to go with the plot. I really enjoyed it.

How would welfare work there? I think there ARE some big differences! But hey, maybe if you save a persons life, and didn't do anything to cause t, you could get half their life. It has possibilities as a concept and conversation starter.

And HERE, the rich CAN die!

Ever see logans run? It is kind of in time, in reverse. Everyone is given 30 years. after 30 years, they are led to believe that they will go to something better, and they are really just disintegrated. Logan is a guy cheated of his time in some sting. I forget the specifics, and he ends up being chased so that he can be disintegrated, because everyone believes he is older than he is. In the end he meets an old man, and his signal gets cleared, so he has the ability to return, and a story to tell.

If you treat money simply as a RIGHT, it loses meaning and there is no incentive. Imagine stores not being stocked because nobody is tracking inventory, no clerks, etc... WHY SHOULD THEY? And NO computers! And NO design. NO new houses. NOTHING! In communist russia, a lot of stuff was SPARTAN! A mig fighter could lose and be shot down SIMPLY because of pilot fatigue!

Money was NOT created as some sort of monopoly game for the rich to control people. It was for compensation and as an incentive. Like it or not, a lot of things are expected to be done and people generally won't do it for nothing.
