For some strange reason Michael Skopec of Illinois thought that by calling 911 they might help fix his broken iPhone. Mr Scopec dialed 911 five times before being arrested by police for obscruction of justice.

After the five calls were made police traced the calls to his home in Illinois where they found him drunk and belligerent. He was arrested because he would not follow the police officers orders. It has yet to be made clear what he was actually trying to accomplish by calling 911 to get help with his iPhone. Although he was arrested he only faces misdemeanor charges and has to be in court next week.:p:p

Makes you wonder, if his iPhone wasn't working did he call 911 with it or another phone?

Hey Dennis, that is so funny and yet a serious matter. It's wasting the Emergency services valuable time.

People who have nothing to do tend to call 911 or 999 (UK), as well as all other countries.
Here in the UK, a man called the Police to report his wife. When they asked him what the problem was, this was his answer '' My wife is constantly nagging me to death. This is like a death threat from her and she keeps snoring all night. I always have sleepless nights and nagging continues from morning to night each day. Please save me Officer!!!!''

    Lol

I know. I guess you could say at least this guy was drunk. I've heard of a woman calling 911 because a fast food restaurant messed up her order, and another because a guy's alarm broke and he wanted the police to give him a wake up call in the morning.
