The first Kindle Fires are being delivered today. Many have already received them. I won't get my until tomorrow.

Has anyone here got one? How do you like it?

Kindle Fire is the new 7" tablet by Amazon. You can read books, watch movies, read newspapers and magazines. There are many apps for it also.

I think it is a winner - at less than half the price of other i-pads - and from what I can see the display is really awesome looking.

There are some good conversations going on at cNet.com and all the developers are really excited to start 'playing with Fire'.

(no I don't have one but I have a couple Amazon stores and obviously I hope people will buy it!)

They have already sold millions of them and now Christmas is around the corner so get ready!

I'm hoping it brings new customers for my Kindle books.

I should get mine tomorrow. Super excited! I've wanted a tablet for a while but since I would mostly use it for keeping my schedule and entertainment I just couldn't justify the price of the iPad. Afterall, I don't even have a smartphone!

Gosh, Amazon is trying to compete against the Apple! They are selling the Kindle Fire at cost or even lower than the manufacturing cost. That way, if everyone who uses Kindle Fire purchases apps, books, etc from Amazon more frequently (or use it as a sole place to purchase), they can tackle the market one step at a time. Very smart and bold move from Amazon.

When I first saw the Kindle Fire, it looks amazing...but then, since I have an iPad, I have been contemplating on whether to get one or not...

Because of the price, even my grandma got one! She doesn't even have a wireless phone! We had to get her set up with wifi just for it. She is excited to be able to read with it and watch movies. They are going to make bank off of her when it comes to apps and books...

It is a really good strategy. I don't ever buy off Amazon but I will now just because I will have the Fire.

1Salesadday deal had 3 Android pads to pick from under $70, better than the Kindle as they have more functions although Kindle is the one to beat.

I have a Kindle DX for most of my reading, but the Fire is pretty good for videos and web.

Has some fun Apps and now the MLB app works with the fire too.

The Fire will be good for books and mags that has lots of color images. Comics come to mind.

Heard Amazon is losing about $3 on each Fire, but they are making it up on a lot more sales. The Fire is their personal salesman.

It's OK for an on screen keyboard. Better with a stylus pen.

The Fire is a tablet. Not as good for reading books as the original Kindles. It would work out for reading in low light though.

I like the Fire mainly for videos, apps and browsing the web. The Fire is far superior to the other Kindles for web browsing.

It will show a 1024 size web site without having to scroll horizontal, but you will have to scroll vertically more.
