Here's an interesting, low tech way to "irrigate" using the water in the air. It was inspired by a desert beatle that uses condensation to create the water it needs to stay alive.

  • What a neat, simple idea. It has only produced a liter a day so far, but hope it can be scaled up.

One of the problems with irrigating is that water from the land has more salts in it than water from the air. One documentary I saw said that most irrigated land doesn't last many decades before it can't be used for farming any more. This system might get around that.

It belongs on the 'there's hope' side of the news.
  • I do hope so, if it could be so simple to save our planet.
That is my dream when I am still a little kid. But I just find out that I need to be saved at present. Trouble then!
