  • If you can read and understand everything posted in the OT, mine included...

    that's a piece of cake...
    • [ 2 ] Thanks
  • Yup. I can read it, and it makes me feel super brilliant, like a perfect human or sumpthin!
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • That's cool and I have seen it before. Basically, as long as the first and last letter of words 4 letters or longer remain unchanged, your mind can mentally 'reassemble' the in-between letters. It happens almost instantly for some people and the text remains quite readable.

I didn't know some people couldn't do it though.

    • It's impossible to verify exactly what the 45% of people actually refers to. For example, people who don't know english, can't read at all, are only new to the language, or people who are dyslexic or actually blind wouldn't be able to read that.

As for those fluent in reading english, it should not be a problem. Still, it's quite amazing what the human mind is capable of. Makes you wonder how much potential we have locked up in there, just waiting to be used...
  • This is fun, but there's no study that says that only 55% of people can do it. Everyone can do it.

In fa t, y o ca ev n rem ve lette s nd pe ple w ll st ll b ab e to re d it.

    • I think that is cooler :p
    • That's how some of my friends' texts look like... Hey, sometimes there are no vowels. And you're left wondering if "dn" is "done" or "don't".
  • WOW, I heard that almost everyone could!
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Only 55%? - does dyslexia count?

I used this message in a presentation on communication about 8 years ago, and was actually surprised by the number of people in the room who did not get the significance...

    - Even after it was explained how the brain looked at the words and created them.

I don't know if a great mind is necessary.

Da Vinci could write backwards so you had to read his notes in a mirror...that takes some skewed great thinking IMHO...(but then, he was left handed)

  • I copied that in photoshop, and made it upside down... can still read it somewhat...

Now, do they have anything for financial crisis ?
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • I like to quote everyone here but I can't for now. Using this phone sometimes makes it difficult for me to do so, having a small screen and all (and the fact that I have a big thumb makes it a pain in the ***. )

The point of the OP is that, every one of us has a beautiful mind, waiting to be untapped. Some of us may not know it, but it is there. Just like Steve (seasoned) had said, everyone can read it, because every person has one.

As for the 45% who can't, it's either they are blind or don't know English.

It's funny what the human mind is capable of huh? I read that no problem perhaps it would be a different story if alcohol were involved lol.

What are you trying to say about lefthanded people. :p

I think alcohol contributes to how this study came about in the first place.

  • I could read it (I would think most could), but I didn't understand the part about why you think alien disclosure is coming this year. There's not much time left in the year.

    • Did I just said that?

Sorry but I didn't get the thing about aliens or so.

  • It's fascinating that if you have the first and last letter of a word, the human mind can figure what it means

  • so, we have all great minds
    • [1] reply
    • yeah,..its very easy to read it,..because its just a switching letter position ,..and its not a code,..
  • Easy, I knew I was a legend in my own mind
  • I can read it easily and one among 55
  • My God! Everyone can read this. When I read the first sentence I thought I had a strange, or great mind. However, I was disappointed to read the whole messed up text to find out that it wasn't something unusual.

I was really happy at first!!! Now I know that I am same old Joe!

  • I can only read it when viewing it upside-down in a mirror - must be something wrong with me ...
  • It seems everybody can read it, even newly discovered Amazonian tribes people have been heard to say "do I look stupid?".
  • haha this is cool i think ive seen this before somewhere
