If banned and the banned Warrior's post are still on the WF is this just a temporary ban or is there any way to tell?

Ken, I think most bans are temporary, as in my case which was for 7 days.

I think you'd have to do something really horrible to be banned for life but
please don't quote me on that as I am not a mod.

However, I can tell you this. If you look up some known past Warriors (and I
use that term loosely for these people) who were known scammers and worse,
you will find that they are no longer listed here. I won't mention any names as
that is probably against forum rules but I'm sure you can think of few on your
    own.

The initials RD spring to mind off the top of my head.

Maybe a mod can come to this thread and shed some light on the subject.

Steve, I think I remember when you got banned. ( at least one of the times )

If my memory serves me correctly it may have been your response to some guy who disparaged Michael Jackson and in general pop music as compared to classical music.

It was around MJ's death I believe...

I called MJ an all-time great and someone ( a Brit, I think ) tore into me as in how could I even dare to compare MJ to Beethoven and the other classical greats.

I though I did a pretty good job by responding...

"I dare, I dare" ... and wondered what the young people of the classical age would have thought about MJ's music etc., as compared...

...and you followed up by ripping into that person and calling him the something akin to him being the vilest human being alive with his cultural arrogance.

      Am I close?

Actually, I ripped into these people for throwing dirt on Michael Jackson's
grave. They were saying things about him that were horrible to say at any
time but to say them when a person has just died?

I essentially called them a bunch of jackasses and that's what got me
        banned.

Next time somebody dumps dirt on a person's grave, I'll call them a jackass
        in private.

At least then I won't have to worry about being sent on vacation.

    IMHO

Banned and you can read his post = ban temporary
Banned and you can't find his post = ban permanent

I got banned once for posting a nude picture of Silvio Berlusconi. This must have been the first anywhere in the world. Berlusconi would have been very proud to hear this.

Some posts from permanently banned Warriors are still around and visible, years later. So a permanent ban does not automatically mean that all the person's posts will disappear.
