What kind of software are you asking? There a re millions of softwares

IM software?

If you need general office type software and you're on a limited budget check out OpenOffice.org. It has Word Processing, Database and Spreadsheet software along with a tons of other stuff I rarely use. It's full-featured software and it's totally free!

Other free software I use and find very usefull:

AdAware Free anti-virus software (has active detection)

Malwarebytes (I have removed viruses, malware and spyware with this that I couldn't get off with anything else and it's much faster than other software)

Format Factory file conversion software (converts image, audio and video files from one format to another)

Clean My Registry (Safely, easily and quickly removes unwanted registry files)

Weblog Expert Lite (Analyzes raw website log files and presents data in easily readable reports)

FLV Player 2.0.25 (Plays FLV files you've downloaded from YouTube or other video sites)

MP3 Tag Tools 1.2 (Lets you do just about anything with MP3 tags)

I just love free stuff! Expecially when it works better than the paid stuff!
