Purpose of "Friends" In WarriorForum User Profile?

What's the purpose of having "Friends"?

What I mean is, I don't see a way to communicate with your friends individually, or in mass, other than sending a PM. If you could post a message and have all your friends notified, that would make sense to me....maybe I'm missing something...help me out here.

    help me out here.
The door out of the forum is over there--->
    Lol...j/k

If you have a relationship with the people you accept as friends then the PM
function is all you really need.

If you have a group of friends interested in the same niche then they or you
should be on someones list to stay informed.

Everything doesn't revolve around the WF. Ummm, Okay some of it does...lol

Anyway, My point is that if you have friends in your WF Profile then be their friend and converse with them when you get a chance to build your relationship.

    Hope that Helps,
    Have a Great Day!
    Michael
PS, Are you on my Friends List? If not Why?
    Maybe You Should Be!

LOL, I think you (along with others) misunderstood my question.
I should have worded it differently.

See the post above this one for clarification.

      Hi LegitIncomes,

We are on a business forum. Building cooperation with someone, exchanging experiences, helping each other is based on the relationship between the interested parties.

Why people become friends on WF? As I see it, this is going to this way. You are observing other people's contribution and

      - you have similar interest, background, level etc. as the other people,

      - you feel sympathy for someone because of his/her personality or wisdom,

      - you realized that someone has similar opinion about particular things,

      - you feel that both of you are the same side of the tracks in something,

      - you're arguing with someone and want to know and undertand that person better,

      - both of you are in common business level and want him/her to conclude an alliance,

      - you want to get some encouragement or support to reaching your goals,

      - your friends will understand your business decision you make, because they did similar sometimes,

      - you want to build your self-esteem, your character, your reputation.

And apart from these, there may be other reasons why people want to be friends. Nevertheless, bear in mind several things in approaching someone for friendship.

      - Be polite, self-conscious, but non-intrusive. How the other party accepts your request for friendship may depend on these factors.

      - Respect other people's time. Business is international. Know the international time zones. Don't disturb someone in inadequate time.

      - Respect boundaries. Appreciate that booth of you are in business. Both of your interest is to make your customers happy and be successful, one by one.

      - Don't kill professionalism. As you know, businesses are professional ventures. Lack of perceptiveness and professionalism may be reason of the rejection.

      - Bear in mind subtleties. Know where the cut-off point is and you know where the help can begin and end.

      Many successes,

      Sandor

Asked myself the same thing. I think you're not asking about the philosophy of friends, but more the mechanics of that particular function on this forum. And so I agree. What is the function?

Perhaps it's just a way to help humanize the forum. Kinda like uploading a pic/avatar. We're not just computers talking, but real people.

Maybe we could ask the support desk and post their answer here?

Exactly...Of course I know the purpose of friends/relationships here on WarriorForum, and how they can benefit both parties (just as in life outside of the forum).

My original post was regarding the forum function of the "friends" list. An easy way to communicate in mass with my friends, other than just sending all of them a PM, would be a nice feature. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't already available and that I was missing it.
