Do something - then if you feel the need, analyze what you have done - at least you get some activity into the picture. Once you have done one thing (and analyzed it a little), add something to it - then analyze. If you analyze after instead of before, you will eventually get somewhere. If you analyze too much before, you'll never get around to anything.

Start doing something everyday. Analysis will not get you anywhere.

Between that and procrastination and sheer laziness it's a wonder I get anything accomplished at all. But sometimes I remember to ask myself, "Could I do something productive right now?"

And if the answer is Yes, I get something done. And when the answer is No, I forgive myself. For me, this business just takes as long as it takes.

The good thing is that I have trained myself to ASK that question, kind of like I've trained myself to ask "Could I drink water instead?" or "Could I eat a piece of fruit instead?" "Could I write an article?" is the same kind of thing.

I recently watched an interview with Mark Zuckerberg, and he said that they do everything at facebook as fast as possible, and then adjust it on the fly. There's a huge emphasis on speed, and much of it has to do with not wanting to fall into "analysis paralysis".

If they think that a certain change to facebook will make it better, they'll throw it up there as quick as possible - Which is why people are often up in arms whenever their facebook changes. But you'll notice that most of the complainers never leave, that's because facebook uses their complaints as a barometer on what to fix.

But I think the point is that you'll never "really" know if something is going to work or not until you put it into action. I've had projects that I've analyzed for upwards of a year, and then when put into action it fell absolutely flat. And then some of my best money makers are projects I thought of over night, and took me literally a few hours to make happen.
