DUBLIN, Calif. -- A "MythBusters" experiment went awry Tuesday, sending a cannonball blasting through a home, the Alameda County Sheriff's Office said.

Sheriff's spokesman J.D. Nelson told NBCBayArea.com that a projectile from an Alameda County firing range in Dublin missed its intended target and hit a home near Tassajara Road and Somerset Lane -- going through one wall and exiting through another.

Have you SEEN the show? They actually openly, and PUBLICALLY, muse about this ON THE SHOW! They try and try and TRY to destroy using someones often weird interpretation and, not being "destructive enough", they load the thing up wth high explosive or something, and let er rip!

  • I watch it all the time Steve, it's a fun show...what a GREAT Job that would be!

But I'm an Engineer, so the idea of building something and blowing it up, or crashing it, or seeing if it will stop bullets really appeals to me...

(don't try this at home...yeah, right! :rolleyes

It appeals to the 12-year old in all of us...

  • Right on Thom! That just goes with the territory!
(plus, those folks on Tassajara road need to let the starch out of their shorts now and then anyway...)

Besides, you're a biker...the Alen Ness motorcycle shop / museum is right down the street from where this happened... Very cool shop -

Instead, the rogue cannonball veered into a nearby neighborhood. It burst through the front door of a home, ricocheted up the stairs to the second floor, exited through a wall, and flew across the road into a second home, where it fell through the roof, according to CBS Los Angeles. It finally crashed through the window of a parked minivan before coming to a stop.

Really! I bet Adam almost (bleeeeep!) I can't wait to see the look on his face
