    • Hi 6figure101,

There are plenty of Canucks on this forum.

And Mr. Harrison - Montreal IS a part of Canada. It just doesn't WANT to be...:p

      Regards, Georgetta
  • Hi guys...

AndrewH, what part of Canada are you from that you had no idea where Montreal was? LOL

  • I live on the border of Canada, does that count? North Troy, VT. right near Jay Peak ski area, ever been through my neck of the woods?

I love Montreal, been there many times, Old Montreal is way cool, oh yea, and Ste Catherine street

    • I got stuck in Island Pond once, many years ago while hitchhiking from Montreal to Boston. Some religious cult there tried to kidnap me.

    • Hey Jared... yes been up there a few times... some awesome skiing there! We have great skiing about an hour north of Montreal but still not as good as Jay Peak.

And yes, Old Montreal is def a sweet place in the summer... lots happening.. beautiful women everywhere, great restaurants everywhere, tons of bars on St Catherine street, etc..

    • Live in Ottawa but fly out of VT sometimes. 2 hour drive saves the family $1000+ on trips.

Tellman Knudson is from those parts of the woods.
  • In Alberta, we have Mennonites. . . AND I am told that they pay $300.00 for breeding, it would appear they are losing genetic integrity. It is not as great as it sounds though. I know a guy who did it. . . They put a blanket over the girl. . . AND the husband, (or cousin brother) stayed in the room and watched. . . Is that worth 300.00? No thanks. . . But it is FUNNY.
    • [1] reply
    • They pay $300!?!?!?!? The Mennonites are CHRISTIAN, and it would be against their morals to pay for sex! Ironically, the reason WHY they have lost genetic integrity is because MOST at least WERE amish! THE amish don't generally associate with people outside of their group, and there aren't many willing to learn the language/customs, do the work, hold to the religion, and shun technology. THAT, from what I have been told, is why the mennonites were created. THEY allow technology and outsiders, and it is basically just the RELIGION without the extreme austere lifestyle.

      UNREAL!

  • Hey all, I'm from Toronto. How's the weather where you are? This month has been brutal.
  • Toronto? How about that budget. . . Ohhh... Toronto! Yes, I know of that city, it's East of Edmonton. . .
  • I saw one a Canadian once: I caught him in the headlights of my car. He turned, hissed, discarded the sheep's head he was feasting upon, vaulted over a high ditch in a single leap, and bounded across a field into the darkness.

I never saw him again but I'll never forget those piercing red eyes; pure evil, they were.

Everyone laughs at me when I tell that story. "He's been on the bottle again," they say.

    • THOMAS!!! Hang your head in shame. May I say on behalf of my Country Sloblovia - which was once owned by Canada but we rebelled and beat the crap out of you at the Battle of Yingta River. That our deep feelings for cannuks (hope that's correct folks!) is as strong now as it was in 1867 when we accidently blew up a few trading posts and nicked a few pelts - well about 100 tons, but who's counting?

And that we still have a Zane Grey day - as Larry Grayson would have told you had he still been with us. 'Oh what a grey day'.

Thank you and may your wolves never go hungry - try hiking more.

This has been a 'Good Will message from Sloblovia'

PS OK Zane Grey was born in Ohio, big deal - he wrote about Mountie's and that's close enough

  • I am from North Vancouver, BC my friend.
  • Hey, I'm in Georgetown. Does that count as Toronto?

Lived in downtown TO for many years but finally had to get out (got married!)

I joined the War Room last night, made a post and can't find it today! Did they move it to see if I could find it? Is it because I'm Canadian, eh?

Got to go out and shovel snow... again.

  • Barrie, Ontario, Canada. 55 miles due north of Toronto.
  • Another Canadian here!

Almost born in Alberta, raised in Ontario, left my heart in Newfoundland (along with a bit of my liver), lived in Toronto, then moved to BC.

I've spent time in every town mentioned so far in this thread (except for New Glasgow), and I love the whole darned country!

    Next stop, New Glasgow!
  • I am from Canada! Originally from Calgary, Alberta, moved to Balzac, Alberta for most of my short life (they're building a mall there that is bigger than west ed and it's not even big enough to be considered a town! But it is just a couple miles north of Calgary.) Last August I moved to Lethbridge, Alberta AKA "The Windy City" where I am attending the university of lethbridge.

I have been to every province in Canada and have been to almost all cities mentioned in this thread. I love Canada, except for the completely random weather where I live. (It goes from 25 degrees Celsius one day to -20 with 3 feet of snow the next).

    Go Canada!

    Shawn
  • Yes! Canada!

    • Let me start out with saying "I am NOT from Canada nore do I live there.. been there once (Toronto).. I was more curious to know if any of the Canadians here knew about Robert Menard and his Freeman on the land movement... seems Canada and most other "Sovereign" nations on this beautiful planet are Corporations... and everyone who has a birth certificate or a Social Security (Insurance) number is actually an employee of the corporation!! huh??

The Magnificent Deception, Rob Menard (google search)
Watch the videos and let me know your thoughts...

  • I'm Canadian, use to live in Ontario near Brad, but now I live in Japan
  • Canadian here. Live a couple of hours wests of Edmonton.

Hey, Andrew, I have a secret for you... I think the people who pay for their wives to get pregnant are Hudderites, not Mennonites. The Hudderite people live in colonys and they are having a problem with in-breeding. The Mennonites are a far larger group and don't have those same problems. As to the whole idea, personally I think it would be a bit of a turn-off, but I'm a gal, so that might have something to do with my thinking on the topic.
  • I am canadian as well!!
  • Born and raised on Vancouver Island, in Port Alberni,BC Moved to Fort Nelson,BC for a few years in the oil patch.

I do like the cool weather, -20C in the winter. Do not like anything above 32F
