Sheeze. I posted a link on my Facebook Fanpage for a product that I wrote salescopy for and guess what my father did?

He goes and writes the word 'Scam' in the comment field.

Just got to love the support I get from my own family.

    If he was serious, probably wasn't as funny to you...so sorry if I offended you.
    Sounds like something my 'people' would do.

    But you know, I don't know how old he is...but a lot of the older generation I don't think, realize what a powerful medium the 'net' is.

    I only got into it because I'm so interested in information, and learned quickly that it is great for getting info out too. And make a little money.

    I ran into the parents of an old pal I haven't seen since, probably the 70's, that grew up in the same neighborhood as I.

    As we were chatting I finally asked, "So, what does Jim do for a living now"?

    They looked genuinely embarrassed as his father responded...."Well, he, ummmm, stays in his little home office all day, and uhhh, buys and sells cattle....on the.....ummmmm....internet."

    I just smiled and responded "COOL!" Lol!

    Thanks guys

    Feeling a whole lot better now. Interestingly enough, that comment of my dad's drove quite a bit of traffic to the sales page (no sales sadly) but once I had deleted the comment from Facebook, the traffic slowed down.

    Hmmm ... maybe I should I tell him to comment again

    Wow - getting punked by your own family in a product review is tough!

    Does he understand his implications, and will he retract the statement?

    And if not, maybe there a way to spin it to LOOK like he was, without starting a family feud?

    You know, there is kind of a beauty in girls/women that are hot, but don't consider themselves so. Too many AREN'T, and think they really are.

    And one thing I HATE about this world, and if you think about it, a LOT of hatred/problems of/with capitalism are directly/indirectly related, is that so much is geared off of ADVERTISING! Advertising on income/work basis is always a HIGH percentage. A lot of propaganda, lies, corruption, suits, etc... are related to it. So Di...In a lot of ways your father was probably RIGHT!

    On the other hand, your father may have had the same last name as you, and people will understand that relatives can be the harshest critics sometimes.

      Anyway nothing like proving people wrong by becoming insanely successful

        You said you wrote the adcopy for it. So your success wouldn't prove him wrong, and I wasn't really saying YOU were unethical.

        BESIDES, a LOT of conmen are " insanely successful "!
