I wanted to tell you about what a lovely night we had in Adelaide, South Australia. The lowest overnight temperature was 33.9 C (93 F), the hottest recorded night in our history.

Yesterday is was a balmy 45.7 C (114 F), our third hottest day ever. Fortunately, it is forecast to cool down to 40 C (104 F) by Sunday.

At 8:20 am as I write this it is 35.7 C (96 F). Train lines are buckling, trams are breaking down and, I think, the world may be ending.

Good thing I am not prone to exaggeration.

Yes, you are; you always make things sound 50 thousand times worse than they really are.
