Just went to YouTube to listen to this tune and It had an inappropriate and or offensive warning show before I could go to the video.

  • Oh Thom, Thom Thom, how could you, I am so offended, chagrined, and urinated right now.
You got me delicates in a wrinkled twist...
    Playing that filth on here...:p

I can't even go on, if you knew how hard I am laughing right now...and I'm not even drinking ..yet.... Getting ridiculous, tain't it? Probably some disgruntled house fan...software or some other Stepford wife.

    Lifes getting complicated, buddy...

I prefer to be a simple kind of man...

Freakin ridiculous the way the PC is going...

  • Ridiculous alright Thom...

The comments are about as offensive as they can be - maybe that is what is offensive to somebody.
  • Jim,
For some reason this seems more like your kinda song to me.

    • [ 2 ] Thanks

  • Oh trust me Kim. I could listen to Skynyrd, Allman Bro's, etc...Southern rock all day long...

I was laughing so hard because I can almost picture Thom..
    WTF?...
But I was doing the same thing for the first couple of minutes.

Then as with most complete stupidity like the label they put on this ... you just gotta laugh or end up going bonkers.

Thanks for the reminder though, I haven't pulled out Skynyrd in too long...going to pull out the album...

but I ain't gonna let the kid listen...ROFLMAO
  • Oh, I agree with Thom and you about it being a WTF moment. Geez, skynard was/is considered one of the patriotic bands of the southern rock movement.

Like you I have to laugh at some of the stupidity the country is coming to.If not I'd cry.
  • That was a pretty good live version of Gimme Back My Bullets Kim...thanks.

The original band is def. one of the bands I'm sorry I didn't get to see live.
  • Thanks Thom. Probably a case of some America hater flagging it and YouTube hasn't checked it yet. Hopefully YouTube doesn't see anything wrong with it.

    • The crazies are out in force these days - easy to see that from the comments.
    • I do agree with Pat on this, some if not most of the comments are out there even for me.
What I Said in my first post is what I yelled out when I got a warning instead of a video (Scared the crap out of the cats).
      Then I just started laughing
Thing is that song and one other kinda remind me of who I am.
So I guess now I'll have to get some business cards that say,
"WARNING: THIS PERSON MAY BE INAPPROPRIATE AND OR OFFENSIVE"
and hand them out tho anyone before they talk to me
Here's the other song, no warning on this one yet.

  • "Spazzyangus"?? - 'This should be made into a "country" song'...

You mean it isn't a country song already???

What country was this guy born in?

Skynard is about as American as it goes...

(Remember...we live in a country where it is OK to show someone's head getting blown off - but God help you if you accidentally slip a nipple... :rolleyes
  • Another quandry of this country where the thoughts of the very few trump the majority. Reminds me of the banning of Santas in a Christmas Parade that had happened for decades because Santa offended a few people. Where is the end to this? . . . Apparently nowhere.

    • Here's something I don't understand.
If someone told me I couldn't have a Santa in a Christmas parade because they found it offensive, I'd tell them that no Santa in a Christmas parade is offensive to me.
    • Hell on earth?
  • I'm not sure what they would parade around...a Manger Float?

    A giant Jesus Balloon?

Same thing with one mother protesting her child's class having a Halloween party, because it is devil worship?

    • To be honest, if I gave my real views on most holidays I'm pretty sure I would offend everyone here.
Most symbols from most holidays offend the hell out of my, though not for religious reasons.
But I would never try to suppress someones else's way of celebrating if it offended me or not. And I wouldn't tell them it offended me, It's not my place to ruin someone else's celebration.
  • Frank Zappa had the right idea when he started putting WARNING stickers on the front of his albums:

  • Maybe somebody just doesn't like Skynyrd, this song has the warning on it too.
