Will you please share your experience if using these anti virus programs. Is it safe specially for the webmasters who are using free versions and which one is the best in between AVG and Avast?

Thanks

This question has been asked the same way, many times here.
Personally when I am not using the anti virus on Comodo, I prefer Avast.
Less load and a good interface, and updated regularly.

We are comparing free version of anti viruses here, where Avast and AVG are the mostly used antivirus programs and lot of people asked me which one to use. Where I like both of these because both of them have capacity to hold security threat while using them as free versions too. Where purpose of asking here is only to know which one is the best according to great IMers here.

I prefer Avast. A few years ago when those redirect viruses and root kits started hitting hard, Avast was screaming it's face off when you hit an infected site while AVG wasn't recognizing them. That was all it took to convince me which is the best.

BTW nRehmen - where have you been? Haven't seen you in a long time. Good to see you are still around.

Yes, I remembered that time when Avast picked that threatening invader when all the antivirus programs letting them go and it build a miserable situation for the webmasters... Anyway, that time I was using the paid one and not the free and didnt know about the free version's efficacy.

You know once a person asked the other one why he like reading books, he replied because these dont ask questions and I like this web and you know its same like that book lover but it has little difference, you have liberty to select those questions which you want to answer... Anyway, always looking to read you and you know what cost those intelligent writers; they dont left any question unanswered.
