Advantages Of Having more than one host?

I have seen some individuals here say that they use more than one host.

I got a really good deal on 3 years hosting on another host.

What are the advantages of using 2 hosts?

I am trying to decide if I should keep it.

    If you use one host and the host goes down, you're out of business with all your sites until they get back up and running. That happened to me once because of a big storm that hit the host's location. My sites were all down for days.

    If you spread your sites out among different hosts you'll always have some of your money makers up and running. If one is down for a prolonged time you can simply move them without searching for another host.

    I use four different hosts.
