What Do Internet Marketers Want?

Hello Fellow Warriors,

I am posting this post to attempt to interact with anyone willing to share what they want from the internet marketing industry. My goal here is to provide a place where we can all gather and share what we feel would make this a better industry and or to share with others what first drew you to internet marketing in the first place.

I feel that there is so much to learn from other likeminded people and it would always be helpful to know what people are looking for or what problem they are trying to solve when looking for an internet marketing opportunity. Feel free to share your opinions or even example case studies that prove what problem or need people are trying to find an answer to when looking for an online opportunity.

I can say that I personally was looking for a way out of corporate America because of the fact that things are no longer the way they used to be when a person could find a good job and work for that job to retirement.

There just does not seem to be any loyalty in corporate America any more you can be working one day and unemployed the next. So my search was for a way to truly be financially independent without losing the farm to get there.

I was laid off from corporate America after 13 years of loyalty to the company. I vowed to make my own job so that couldn't happen again. I ended up in becoming a writer, marketer, and graphics guy. Been at it since 1997, full-time since '99. Losing that job turned out to be a very good thing.

Some weeks I'll get several projects / jobs at once and I'm running myself into the ground trying to get it all done... other weeks it's a ghost town. Does that go away over time as you build your client base?
It's great, I love it . . . we would seem to have a different business model though. It sounds like you provide a service. I mostly build content sites and sell my own products. I get a lot of traffic from the search engines, plus I have a mailing list of over 10k.

I'm not your typical churn and burn marketer, more of a content writer and information product creator. I don't have to work many hours if I don't want to, but believe me, I earned my way to get to that point. I do work a lot of hours though, because I really enjoy what I do, plus I want to retire wealthy and I'm not there yet.

What services do you provide? Or have I made a faulty assumption?

Thank you all for the feedback this is extremely valuable information. I hope that others come by and drop even more ideas of that they feel internet marketers want and or need. I must say that I fully agree with the comments left by DEaFeYe, in that most of the people seeking IM opportunities are looking for a dream. They all seem to want to join something that is easy/simple or no work, provides lightning fast results, and will make them rich or the insane profits and ROI like you mentioned.

Even though they are out there looking for the so called silver bullet to those things, I am trying to find a way to take those emotional concepts and use them to get there interest and then educate them as to what the reality is of this business, and that is just that this is a business that takes hard work and time to build to those expectations.

It is not that some IM opportunities can’t be those thing but there is definitely not anything out there that is like that out of the box, again it take hard work and time to build to that point where you are making insane profit, the work is simple/easy to do with little effort, and the results happen very fast. The only way to truly do this is to find other to help you by duplication. This means having the ability to leverage other people’s efforts to benefit all involved otherwise it simple will now happen.

Well once again this is an awesome response to my question and please continues to provide additional feedback as it might come to you or if you hear it from others out there. I will continue to monitor this and provide what I have learned as new topics might be spired from this post.
