9 Years And Ready To Pack It In

Well, it's been a fun ride folks. Last year I went into semi retirement and this
year, after 9 full years online, I am selling my business and packing it in.

I don't have a buyer yet (if anybody is interested ) but I'm sure it won't be
very long before I do. Either way, I'm not in any rush. Life is good and whatever
happens, happens.

I've learned a lot in 9 years, but if I had to pick the one thing that I learned that
has been more important than anything else (marketing, copywriting, product
creation, whatever) it was this.

Be good to people.

Because what goes around, comes around.

I have made some wonderful friends here...some of you who have really come
through for me when I needed you during my difficult times.

It's just as easy to treat somebody with respect as it is to be mean to them.

The latter gets you nothing but trouble.

Anyway, I'll still be popping in and out with obscure songs or whatever. I
can't completely say goodbye to this forum because there are too many
people here who I care a great deal about.

You know who you are.

Yes...it's been a fun ride and a great life.

But it's time to put my feet up on the couch and relax.

You know Tim Ferriss speak of people who are machines and work so hard it becomes a habit. They retire for a year, 2, or maybe less. Low and behold they come back out of retirement only to go back to their comfort zone. Have you really tested turning off your machine fulltime? You may not like the new life. It maybe boring for you. Just saying.

      Happy New Year Les.

In all seriousness, I am selling my business. At least attempting to. I have
already contacted one person who I think handles these transactions but if
he can't help me I'll move on to the next name on my list.

I really am tired of the grind and the rat race. My wife is retiring in a couple of
years with a good pension and a nice tax shelter. Money is the least of our
      problems.

Anyway, I hope you have a really great year. I mean that sincerely.

I'm looking forward to that Kim. I'm also looking forward to resurrecting the
music obscurity thread. Got a lot of obscure stuff still left to share.

I don't know Kurt, but I am an AARP member. I should probably scan my

Well, gee, Steve - as long as you'll still be dropping by, I can't really feel much of either way about this one. As long as you know how this thing runs, it's not like you can't do something when you feel like it, if you ever get the hankering to. At least you got yourself set so you don't have to do anything you don't feel like doing. I'd be sad if you left us just because you weren't working though.
