The proper use of SSL

One guy here broke standard security measures conventionally required. If you accept personal info, you MUST use SSL! Having, or claiming you have a certificate is NOT enough!

Using a provided sticker, if you don't actually have a cert, is, at the VERY LEAST, copyright infringement that they ARE likely to pursue.

Using such a sticker if you don't use SSL could be considered fraud, and the provider may cancel any rights.

I say this only because I saw a site that CLAIMED it had SSL but wasn't even able to use SSL. It collected VERY sensitive info, etc....

It is CRAZY! They claim to have SO much money but can't afford like $100 a year for a cert, or even SELF sign for FREE?

BTW he WAS a spammer, and I reported him, I just figured this should be said. Who knows? If he wants to be legit, maybe he'll get the hint!
