Is Amazon really famous?

I am just wondering why don't people go to xxx.amazon.com to buy things they like?

If amazon is really famous so than why some people visit the affiliate link instead of visiting directly to xxx.amazon.com? This is the example of amazon affiliate's site xxx.openingcoffeeshop.info :confused:

    Just because they are famous doesn't mean they go directly to them first

    same with people that type into the search engine amazon.com to go there.

      You DO realize that perhas MOST stuff sold ****THROUGH**** amazon is not sold **BY** amazon, right?

      Amazon TRIED to sell books, like barnes and noble. They essentially went bankrupt. OK, they managed to stay afloat, but it wasn't by selling books, etc.... Anyway, they changed into a hyperlinked payment/shipping/JV gateway. So where they USED to sell books, NOW they sell a LOT more, and a LOT of the stuff is NEVER touched by them. Even on THEIR book site they have COMPETITORS trying to sell.

      So you have to watch it. Half the stuff I buy ON amazon is not BY amazon. One time I slipped up and bought something I THOUGHT was from amazon but wasn't.

      Anyway, Amazon is generally good about everything. just figured would make ths clear because sometimes they let on ingrates that WILL try to rip you off.

      OH, and look at reviews and logically weed out duplicates and plants. It is one of the best ways to determine what to buy.

    I buy from Amazon a lot with no problems, and if there were, they are good about returns and exchanges. I get free shipping on 95% of my purchases and it's usually is two day shipping.

    Amazon is definitely big, but everyone doesn't go directly there all the time.

    Amazon is famous due to seller authentication process. Buyers like to visit guaranteed site to buy products.
    If they knew other than Amazon and it is authenticated to they surely will visit it.

      Give me a break. They are famous since they are one of the first to have associates!

      BEFORE the cloud! BEFORE the M&A! BEFORE what you are taking about! BEFORE the JVs! BEFORE the TV commercials! BEFORE the news broadcasts! BEFORE the radio broadcasts! Before ALL that, they were practically on every site because people were getting paid and they seemed to be the only bookstore in town. HECK even GAMERS probably went to online games only to find ads about books!
