      Definitely quite a creative solution to the problem. On the other hand, why can't they just get a new sink where you can mix the water temperature in the same spiggot? That sink has to be very old.

    My grandmother had those taps for DECADES in her house. They finally replaced them last year thank goodness. Now if you're really old, you will remember the kitchen sinks that had the small hot water tank next to them. You'd move the spigot to the sink turn it on for hot water and get your cold water from the single tap already over the sink. She still has that one by the way.
