Your IQ drops by 80% while hungover

That is the case for me anyway.. So after an amazing night, my head is pounding and my sensitivity to noise is unbearable.

I do my daily routine and check my email to find that someone has bought my phone on Ebay. I have 2 emails from Ebay saying where to send it to, and 2 emails from service@paypal saying that once I send the item, I should send in my tracking ID so I can receive the payment.
DING DING DING, alarm bells should have been ringing but no.. The paypal email looked so authentic and natural that I didn't take a second look (by the way, this is the first time I've used Ebay so I wasn't exactly sure what the payment routine was. I use my local marketplace TradeMe for New Zealand).

So I staggered down to the post office while trying my hardest to control my headache. Filled in the form. Gave it to the man. Payed $67 NZD for airmail tracking. Then ventured my way back home taking the longer route to escape the vile sound of cars.

I sat back at my computer which when I clicked,
"WTF HAVE I DONE SENDING IT TO SOUTH AFRICA BY AN EMAIL ADDRESS FROM "PAYPAL"!?!?!?"

I googled "service@paypal" which confirmed it. I ran out of the house without my shoes, holding my receipt, SPRINTING back to the post office. I managed to convince them to not send it, they kindly gave back my item and my money with their last words
"Don't be a fool again, haha"

So after spewing up several times on the way home due to the adrenaline of running to the post office before they send off my item and the stupidity I felt, I am writing this message to hopefully save someone the heartache and generally for people to laugh at me.

At least I will never make that mistake again.

Peace.

An average 20YO that has their IQ drop 80% will be about as smart as a 4YO!!!!!!!

Someone with an IQ of 100 is closer in intelligence to a smart gorilla than to someone with an IQ of 160, if you believe in the accuracy of IQ tests, LOL. Reference:

You're right there! But if you use IQ... Originally, the IQ test was designed to determine if a person was retarded. If you get over 100 it is a fair bet that you aren't retarded in the tested area.

Like all tests, it is FLAWED! Heck, I have seen some pretty flawed tests! One example you could see in an IQ test?

        Complete the sequence:

        1-2-3-X

MOST would say FOUR! But SOME might say FIVE is correct! 1=2=3 2+3=5

Granted, such sequences USUALLY give more, but this is a valid example.

ALSO, you can have a bad day or slip. So you can test higher or lower than you should.

6 could be correct as well.

It was an exaggeration. I should have done medical tests in my garage lab before posting.

Funny. When I'm hungover, my IQ doesn't even register anywhere near a vegetable state. I would have been rendered completely incapable of even reading the email to get my ass in a jam in the first place. Incidentally - one of the reasons that I rarely drink.

      I'm with Sal on this.
When I drank, the next day my IQ would be so low I couldn't spell IQ if you gave me both letters

As a former cab driver who drove drunken pin heads home for a living, IQs are even lower hours before the hangover. Drunks just don't remember. Trust me. I know what I'm talking about.

I was a bartender so was the one that passed the drunks out the door to you. I hear what you are saying. Actually, it was watching people who are dead drunk that made me turn away from drinking.

Kurt, as an X drunk I often wonder how hi the IQ is when you think getting that drunk is a good idea

  • How many IQ points drop with these each time?

    Third Hangover Movie Imminent

Hollywood Reporter via NYDN: "After months of headaches over stars Bradley Cooper, Zack Galifanakis and Ed Helms' $15 million-plus contract demands, Warner Brothers is nearing a deal" for The Hangover III. Hollywood will not stop until it grinds this franchise into the ground, sucking every last dollar and ounce of humor from Zach Galifanakis' slowly draining soul. Not a bad way to go, all things considered.
