    Funnily enough, I was thinking earlier on about creating a similar thread about some of the old mansions and castles here in Cornwall.

      I've recently been reading some novels based in early Ireland and the ruins and landscapes described sound so stunning.

      Seeing actual ruins though brings what I read even more to life!
