Take a few days to browse around, read the various threads in different forums here, then do a little brainstorming - who you are, what you already know and can do, what you'd like to do - knowing full well that whatever it is it's going to take time and effort and you really don't want to merely exchange one dreary, boring job working for someone else only to end doing pretty the same even if it is your own business.

You might want to check out http://www.challege.co It's free and probably as good a place to start as any. Even if you're not all that interested in blogging, this gives you insights into how marketing online actually works.

Just don't get impatient. It takes time and real work, but the money is out there!

Sorry I didn't mean to sound like a grumpy old man. Of course it is ok to ask questions. I just find it easier for myself to search first, as it is faster than waiting for a reply.
There is a great deal of knowledge here and would be wise to listen to some of the more experienced marketers. If you want to know anything about IM this the place.

If you are totally new to internet marketing/making money online and you have absolutely no idea about websites or internet marketing, then you might have some frustrating weeks a head of yourself. You'd need to read a lot and have a lot of patient. You'll be overwhelmed with the amount of information given to you by this forum and it can make you want to quit real quick.

Just keep on going and do it step by step.

Also make sure you don't end up buying dozens of WSO's here as most of them will promise you to be come rich overnight, but then you realize that this is not the case. So be careful with the WSOs

I know the feeling. I have been reading just about every thread in the WSO forum and want to buy many of them. People will tell you to start slow and learn as much as possible. Don't try implementing too many different ideas as it will just frustrate you. Good luck to you.

This is a great place - probably the best place you could have landed. You will gets tons of great ideas that will help you succeed.

Internet Marketing is a great way to make a living. Just remember, don't give up - there may be times when you think things aren't going too well, but it is times like these when you must keep going. Huge success could just be around the corner.

Just keep learning - try to learn something new every day and always, always, take action. There are too many people who know how to do something, but can't be bothered with the action part. Action is the most important part. And don't always wait until something is perfect, or until you know absolutely everything, before taking action. Learn the basics, take action and learn on the job.

I used to think that I had to know everything before I started a project. This kind of thinking kept me from ever starting!

There are some great folks here, and they will give you great advice. Just ask.

Here are some things I think is necessary for everyone to succeed: a mentor with a history of success, the ability to provide services before you offer products (so you earn while you learn), and the ability not to get caught up with the flavor of the month and focus on making a business. Do that and you'll succeed.

I have been a WF member for about a month. Do you know what direction you will take yet when it comes to internet marketing? There are so many possibilities it's easy to get overwhelmed. My advice would be to do some research, take note of some methods that you like, and decide which of them you would like to pursue. If you need help, there is always someone willing to offer help. Here's some advice about leaving your job and starting out online, on your own. In your day job your boss, however evil he may have seemed, made you earn that money by driving you every day. When you start on your own and especially when it is online where there is no one looking over you shoulder you miss that drive. It is easy to drive others but it is most difficult to drive yourself.

Like someone suggested above read the best and most informative posts and start implementing your learnings right away with an aim to making an income online. If you don't do that you will quit one day in frustration and feel that working with your old boss was better :-).

Try not to be a victim of information overload - spend as much time "working" as you might spend reading up posts and browsing the net for information. If you have doubts ask questions and take help on the forum. Wish you all the best!

Welcome to warriorforum. I have been in the same boat too, wanted to quit day job forever. But as someone advised there is a information overload and you don't know when to stop acquiring more knowledge and when to start taking action!I faced that problem too and I somehow managed to hang on to one method and reading posts of warrior forum helped me a lot.
