That sounds like a hell of an explosion for a little battery - how do those e-cigs thing work? Does the battery heat tobacco or something like a vaporizer? What's the point?

I find that very ironic. They want their competitor to be closely regulated as a drug - but not themselves...

The other thing the article is a liar about is 'it costs more than cigarettes' - It costs less than 1/2 the price of cigs - once you buy the cigarette and charger (around $50) - that is like the cost of 1 carton of cigs.

Then you buy the cartridges - each one is about a pack - that is <$20 so 10@$20 that is LESS THAN HALF the cost of cigarettes after you buy the unit -

While it hasn't made me QUIT smoking, it has made me CUT DOWN and it has allowed me to go at least some waking hours without cigarettes in the house.

I have used it for a couple years now off and on. I think if I actually made up my mind to quit smoking it would help me get through the urges.

Indeed I am not agreeing with you because e-cigs doesn't contain any chemical compounds or tobacco. I don't use e-cigs myself - but I have little faith in some of the stories about them because I've done a lot of research on it.

On 10/5/2011, I quit smoking cold turkey, after smoking a pack a day since the age of 16.
I thought it would be painful and unpleasant to quit that way, but it turned out to be far easier than expected.

I tried one once - it aggravated my asthma. Vaporized water. Humidity is NOT good for asthma. That is why doctors tell some asthmatics to move west to dry warm climates. On the other hand, nicotine reduces lung spasms and smoking can help you regulate breathing - which is why so many asthmatics smoke. Global statistics show that smokers in some countries have very few incidents of lung cancer. Lung cancer stats that have not been fudged in America show that 60% of lung cancer victims were not smokers. We're not getting the facts. Why is it that in Japan, there are a huge amount of smokers and not enough lung cancer to even start correlating cancer and smoking?

I will continue to smoke low/no additive tobacco. It doesn't send me searching for my inhaler like e-cigarettes do.

There's is nothing like the real one. A lot of fake and cheap E-cigs in the market so better be careful
