Tired of Airlines Loosing Your Bags? Start Flying With A Gun?!

I just read an interesting article where the writer described how you can use a simple starter pistol (the kind they start foot races with) and pack it in your bag in a gun case that has a lock. When you arrive at the airline you will declare a weapon and they will do a lock and take your key.

They will not want to loose your baggage because they would hate the press of being responsible for a gun being put in the hands of the wrong person.

Seems like a crazy idea, but I thought I would share it and see what everyone else thought about this.

Looking forward to the comments..lol.

I flew RIGHT after 9/11!!!!!! In 12 years of traveling once per week, I was only searched twice on the same leg *****ONCE*****! And that was the trip where I declared the gun! BY LAW you have to declare it openly to them, and check it. I think other laws are federally enforced airline rules.

BTW it is actually RARE that they lose a persons bags. It only happened with me 5 times(REMEMBER, I flew over about 400 times)!

    1. They shipped it early. Found it within 20 minutes!
    2. Someone moved it to the wrong area. Found it within 20 minutes!
    3. They stole it claiming 3 passes, I was there and watched the whole time. Found it within 20 minutes of the last bag sent down the belt!
    4. They REALLY lost it. Shipped it to me within 12 hours.
    5. Some jerk tried to steal it right off the belt. He ADMITTED that he knew it wasn't his. I got it back in a few minutes.

So OFFICIALLY, they lost them <.25% of the time, though I was in extreme danger of losing my bag about <1.25% of the time.

There WAS a time that they misappropriated the plane, and EVERYONE had to wait! I forget how long. But they PLANNED that from the get go. Supposedly because of earlier problems.
