What would your vacation of a lifetime be?

Shay asked about what our ideal life would be, if we had all the money, time and knowledge we would need, which brings me to wonder what everyone's vacation of a lifetime would be.

What would you like to do, where would like to go, who would you like to do it with, if money and time was no object. How long would your vacation of a lifetime be?

When I followed Nascar races really heavy (that was like, fifteen years ago, and now I don't pay any attention to them) I thought it'd be neat to get into an RV and follow them, be at every single Nascar race for an entire season, locate in the infield and have an unrestricted pitpass, too!

But now that I'm older and wiser (well, older, anyway) I think I'd be content riding around the country by myself for three or four weeks straight on a full dress Honda Goldwing. No plans, no hurry at all, take my time, see what's out there, meet the real Americans. Toss of the dice determines if I head North, South, East or West. (Then if I end up going somewhere completely dissatisfying, I can blame it all on the dice...)

So tell us, what would your vacation of a lifetime be?

My vacation of a lifetime would only take about 2 months.

I'd like to go to Utah and pick up a tricorder first off - then to Patagonia (S. America) and hunt for agates for a tad over a week then jet over to Afghanistan and hunt some local gemstones for another week and a half. On the way back I would stop in Arkansas and hunt diamonds for a week and then on to N.C. for some sapphire, aquamarine, and rubies, then stop back at Utah for a few days and dig up some red beryl on the way home and with the time I had left I'd hit California for some pink tourmaline.

Ah - I forgot........I would want a very Indiana Jones style geologist to accompany me.

Yep - that trip would make this lifetime complete.
