Dream insight? Please?

First question: Have you been watching disaster movies or a lot of network news lately?

Second question: During waking hours, have you been feeling more anxious about world events and their implications on your lifestyle or the lives of family or friends?

I'm not saying that these things will definitely give you dreams, but the potential does exist for them to influence your dreams.

On a lighter note, perhaps you need a vacation away from Delta Quadrant?

Do you ever know in your dream that there is going to be an explosion or are they a surprise? If you know they are going to happen you need to learn to trigger your conscious mind so you can either stop the explosion or by getting away from the area beforehand. It is a conflict of some sort - especially since someone is trying to get you away from it and you are fighting them.

If you don't know before hand that they are going to happen - make up your mind consciously that the next time, you will go with the person that tries to lead you away.

Once you either stop an explosion by some means or allow yourself to be led away from it, they will probably stop.

Okay. That is good that it does not appear to be life situations directly stimulating the dreams.

I agree with Sal that it would seem to be representing a conflict of some sort. If you know of nothing outright that it could be, then, again, I think that is good. It might just be one of those weird things that a person's mind latches onto for some weird reason that we don't understand.

Like dreams I have had about being in public places only in my underwear! LOL ... What's THAT all about? (Don't answer, Sal! lol)

If you try Sal's recommendations, perhaps that will alleviate the dreams.

Could this have something to do with hubbies retirement and/or relocation?

I was dreaming about Dave Patterson last night. When I awoke this morning, I wondered what the heck that was all about.

Turning on CNN, I saw the tornado warnings for Alabama. I had also heard mention of possible storms last night on the evening news.

I'm guessing that hearing Alabama mentioned, I connected that with Dave. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. :p

Does anyone know if Dave Patterson was in the line of fire? Sure hope he and his family where not in harms way.

Be back in a bit...gotta check neighbors. HUGE tree and power lines just fell and blocked street in front of my house.

I didn't know Shay's hubbie retired,but I was going to suggest they try separate beds and see if the nightly explosions stop........

I'm doing dream research now for a product, actually.

GT - not so unusual of a dream other than you still have undies on. Most people dream about being naked out in public or being on a toilet or making love in public.

Shay - an interpreter might actually say that you feel there is a danger at hand that you feel you cannot get away from. I don't go that far with dreams as to offer someone else an actual interpretation because they are pretty personal and it's hard to tell what is going on in someone else's life or emotions. Some of the symbolism isn't all that apparent unless you are actually inside of someone else's head. Remember though, the subconscious mind is pre-linguistic (that is language symbolism isn't encoded in the thought yet, so it will be often bizarrely metaphorical.

In our society we are misled to ignore our dreams -- some societies are taught to regard them highly and to learn from them, to control them, etc. They are your subconscious talking to you - so you NEED to heed them.

They also will revolve around anything that your conscious mind seems to be preoccupied or obsessed with. Have you ever worked so many hours that you are still at work in a dream? What have you been thinking a lot about in your waking life? Start there. Is there something that you see as a disaster that you are going to have trouble avoiding? Not happy with hubbie's retirement? Can you identify any of the people trying to pull you away from the explosion? Have they expressed any concern for you for any reason in your waking life? Are you just scared of explosions or terrorism or something? Start asking the right questions and it might jog your conscious mind enough that it will be around for you while dreaming to help get you out of the situation.
