    Personally, I always had a feeling Paddy Chayefsky might have gotten some of his inspiration from watching Frank Capra's 1941 movie Meet John Doe...

  • The OP has a really good point....nothing ever changes...here we are in election year...and it just seems to me that every four years during campaign time it all just sounds the same...all the ear candy they give us...it sounds the same as it did every 4 years as far back as I can possibly remember.

    But in the end, the rich get richer, corruption gains more power, and our lives slide further into the crapper.

    ...its almost as if anyone we vote for actually works for someone else besides me and you....hmmm.
