I'm just curious, are there things or incidences in your life that you wish you could undo if you had the power to do so?

Well I don't know about thousands.

I once made a list of all the things I'm sorry for and there are about 15 most important things. Including: “I’m sorry for having ‘bitter’ arguments with my Dad.” Yeah there are many things I wish I could change.

It might sound weird but, to be honest, there are almost no things I'd undo.

Those things are all in the past and have no influence over me. Whatever happened
happened, and whatever you do you can't change it. So why bother with it? But you
can influence how you act and perform in the present and future.

If you make mistakes, you learn from the experience and keep moving forward.
I learned to be interested only in the future. That's all there is to it.

Nice one! I wish I have your mind-set, though. I mean, for me, it is easier said than done. You are right, the past is done but sometimes past mistakes take a toll on your present situation, whether you want it to or not. Maybe staying focused on the present and its many blessings, could help make up for past errors, but like anything, it needs to be a habit before it can become a way of life.

Replying to this makes my heart pound fast..hahha

I had the chance to see my first love... we had mutual love then. twas very conservative here at that time, girls had to WAIT for guys'. i waited for 5 years for him to tell me that he loved me and wanted me for his gf but ... well i grew tired waiting  and another guy came. this 2nd guy was so persistent and i ended up with him. the next morning the 1st guy finally proposed but IT'S TOO LATE. it was like "i waited for you for a looong time, why are you saying this just now? i can't take back my answer last night"

but you know, i have no regrets of marrying my husband (the 2nd guy) just what if's (sounds like "The Notebook"). and if ever id have the chance to turn back time, i'd still choose my husband.

      cheesy!!!!!!!!!:p

I would undo what happened to my parents' business, this is way beyond my capabilities that time but if I get the chance to undo that I would since it's actually a chain reaction.

That's what I meant about the past taking a toll on the present. It's too bad that you have to "pay the price" for what happened to your parents' business. However, as Exel said, it's better to stay focused on the PRESENT and to make sure not to let past mistakes happen again. Let the past serve as a lesson and it will encourage you to create a better future for yourself and your loved ones, right here, right now.

Basically, I have no regrets. Life is what it is and the secret to success is simply making the best of the way things turn out.

. . . However ... having said that ... if I could undo something, I think I would go back to the beginning of my "career" in retail management and switch the focus to getting a business degree in college.

I spent a total of nearly 30 years in retail thinking it was a career, only to get put out in the street when the owners of the business I had supported for 22 years killed it (intentionally, I believe). And then I had to get a lawyer to get them to pay me the severance that their policy manual said was standard. They tried to claim that the way the manual was written was a mistake. Whatever. The sad thing is, a couple other employees believed them and lost out on a few thousand dollars that was legally owed to them.

If I had been smart in the beginning, I would have gotten a business degree, then started my own business in my 20s instead of working all those years to help someone else live the good life.

I have a difficult time thinking of anything that I could undo. I guess I broke my food once, and then another time... I guess I wish I could undo those. They are pretty much healed, but I have been told they that they will become arthritic eventually. Doctors can be wrong though. They are humans too.
