Right now I can hear some slobbering from my neighbours. They actually don't know how to talk.

Only shout. Its been going on several hours now and there are about six of them - teenage males.

Should I leap over the fence and beat them up ?

If you did that, you might be supporting your own theory. I recommend calming yourself and putting in earplugs if it is bothering you so much.

Here in New Zealand there is no double glazing - and these dudes are SHOUTING LOUD and drunk and excited.

I know this will now become their ritual because at their age it was mine also.

How ever it is a 50 meter walk for the to the park where nobody would be disturbed. Also they have neighbours on both sides and above & the noise from them started this week.

Actually I just went over and introduced myself and explained that the whole neighbourhood can hear them & its better to party over in the park.

We will see - I don't think it will work frankly.

Well they were quiet for 1 hour then at 9:30 it all started again . At 11:30 I called noise control then shoved my head out the window and Hollered at them to "shut the **** up"

So then they went quiet again - I dunno if noise control showed up but they would have missed it if they did.

Then at about 12:30 they started again but not as loud as before - and it went until 2am.

That is when I finally got to sleep after these ****ers going for 11 hours.

So right now I'm recovering from a strep virus I had all week - when its gone in a few days I will start hunting a new place to live. I lived here 4 years and never had noise issues before.

Noise is my fetish - it makes me neurotic and violent

Every morning at 7 am, blast opera music at them. Have the neighbor on the other side blast Wagner.

They may try to get back at you and be loud at night, but you won't be hungover like they are at 7 am.

Maybe it was a one off party and with any luck it might not happen every weekend. If it does..... I like Kurts idea of blasting them with your type of music at 7am the next morning.

With any luck, you are right and they have been evicted. I'm sure you weren't the only neighbour to complain.

Well these are teenagers

Stupid yet cunning

They kept a low profile for a week. Last night again - it started at 8pm. This time I was not prepared to tolerate any further. I called noise control just after 8 and they got shut down.

I thought I had won.

I thought wrong. 11:30 they were in full swing once again. I ended up calling noise control 4 times. They largely ignored noise control and went until 3 am. I got to sleep about 3:30am.

Ok I have never called noise control before in my life. I just spoke with my landlord and a lady who is in their apartment but upstairs.

She also called noise control twice and the police. Nobody seems to know who their landlord actually is.

Really I should beat them up. I'm a weight lifter & do martial arts so I could beat all of them up at once if I got angry. But no. I will rally the neighbours and hunt down their landlord & continue to phone the authorities.

I don't want a criminal record.
