I call my mother by her first name. Don't know why. Mum to me is just Mags. Mags is short for Maggie, Maggie is short for Margaret.
Sometimes I call my mum "mother dear" in a sort of comical, exaggerated kind of way.

I call my mother, "Ma." It is easier to say than "Honorificabilitudinitatibus."

She was "mommy" maybe when I was like two. "Mom" from perhaps 3-16. Now "mother" is "mother". That is best, IMO.

I don't think anyone in the US over the age of 5 uses the term "mommy".

I call mine "Mother Dear" or "Mom", though I do call her by her name if she doesn't hear me

I don't really use mommy (though my older sister does relatively often), but I do still call my father "daddy" about half the time, which he loves (otherwise it's "dad", the name he goes by, or his real first name... he doesn't pay attention a lot lol)

I initially called my mother, "Mommy" and then when I was a teenager, I called her "M." I called her "M" because my favorite book series that time had a really cool character who called her mother, "M." Today, I just call her "mom."
